Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure our Live Virtual training is just as effective, engaging, and efficient as our in-person sessions. The training is multi-sensory, interactive, and includes breakout rooms to practice the skills taught with fellow participants. With flexible scheduling options, you will be able to work with our instructors in a live virtual setting from the comfort of your own home.

Helping Educators Go Virtual

With the uncertainty around COVID-19, states all over the country are facing different guidelines and restrictions. To ensure the safety and convenience of our community, IMSE is now offering several options for LIVE Virtual training.

While we love to work with teachers face-to-face, there are advantages to online training, too!

Participants will still receive the same content and physical materials as our in-person trainings. This includes:

  • Manuals
  • Textbooks
  • Subscription to Interactive OG (online lesson planning tool)
  • Access to IMSE Content (Refresher Videos, Decodable Readers, video courses etc.)

Not only do you receive all the same instruction and materials, but there are also designated times for breakout roomsQ&A sessions, and opportunities for practice with peers and lesson planning. IMSE has gone to great lengths to ensure that the virtual setting is just as positive of an experience as our in-person options.

Virtual District Training

IMSE can accommodate as many as 46 participants, which means we are still offering district training! Large training groups will be assigned a second instructor to act as a co-host.

While many districts are having to teach their students online, IMSE’s virtual training teaches educators how to implement Orton-Gillingham teaching in the current climate.

District trainings will have all the materials shipped to one location for disbursement among the participants.

If you are an administrator and would like to learn more about the process or observe a virtual training, contact IMSE at (800) 646-9788.

The positive feedback we’ve received is overwhelming, and IMSE is committed to our teachers’ needs now more than ever.

What other teachers are saying about IMSE training

  • This may be the most functional training I have ever had! It was so refreshing to attend a class that was structured the way we would teach new content in our own classes. Thank you for building in the time to apply our new learning regularly. The trainer was a super star with the virtual forum, making the class feel personable, having a good sense of humor, and always being willing to help.

  • This training was the best professional development I have ever had; the trainer was explicit in her instruction, passionate about Orton-Gillingham, and so incredibly knowledgeable. I was unsure about the virtual training at first, and after this week, I am now an advocate for it! WOW! Thank you IMSE!

  • An amazing, rich week! The instructor is a superb instructor, one of the best I have encountered in a 35+year career. Without a strong current background in literacy instruction, I was concerned about my ability to keep up; however, IMSE made the content highly accessible. I am in awe at the volume of quality materials provided (print and digital); the organization of coursework and materials; and the balance between big and little picture throughout the week.

  • I was worried about training being a virtual format, but it was excellent! The online format also allowed me to see how I can incorporate lessons for my students on an online platform as well.

  • This training was incredible! Our instructor was amazing and so patient with us especially with the new world of virtual teaching. I would recommend this to anyone working with children in an educational setting.

Your days might look different, and so do ours! IMSE is always adding more course options. Visit the IMSE schedule to check time zones and courses.
